It's over to the multiplex experts I'm afraid John. The immobiliser ECU (the EWS) receives a supply directly from the ignition cranking switch. It then passes this to the starter solenoid. There's nothing else in the circuit except for a 50 amp fuse link (FL12), but if all other ignition related functions work then that must be ok.
