OK Phil. The problem is that your cooling system's behaviour is not consistent with worn motor brushes. It isn't reacting to an increase in coolant temperature but it does trigger as soon as you activate the air conditioning. That's why I wanted to eliminate an air lock.
Can I ask a basic question. Your profile lists two Rover KV6s yet this is a ZT190. Is it a recent purchase?
