So after receiving the special tool from Lee
tried to remove the hydramount, not a chance
Everytime I tried to turn it, the tool slipped off. Decided to invest in an impact wrench, I can get downward pressure while using the wrench. This doesn't arrive until Monday, so decided to have a walk to Halfords and get some plusgas to give it a soak over the weekend. While at Halfords, got myself an 18 inch breaker bar.
Got home and gave the mount a good squirt and gave the bar a try. no luck, but I did notice one of the tangs was bent on the mount, so got out the hammer and long screwdriver to tap it straight, guess what happened?
the damn thing started to loosen
Kept hammering and off it came
Unbelievable Jeff
So new one fitted, everything back together and all's well
So thanks to DMGRS for the mount, Lee for the loan of the tool
My advice is, just hammer the thing off
