Yes it works but is prone to interference. Mine can connect to the phone via Bluetooth or cable, the cable is better. I can have problems when travelling, if there is a local radio station on a frequency close to what I have tuned in. Example, 88.0 is fine in my area, but I may have to change it 20 miles from home due to local stations.

You just can't beat an hardwired connection. I actually think I have found what I was looking for on this forum. A couple of years ago a member did the same thing on the same radio. I am no whizz, but I can solder wires in the right places as long as I can copy someone's work.
