I think your "expert is talking nonsense mate, I mean "what version???? Only diesels had them.
my zt has the parking heater and timer etc, and I've had lots of others that have had just the FBH and no problems.
The real problem is when people state a opinion on something that they have little knowledge of.

Having said all that I guess you could say that when I forget to set the timer correctly that's a problem especially when I get in the car and it's cold
