I went to look at a 2.5 V6 many years ago. It had been owned by a "get in and drive it" man who never looked under the bonnet. He had never had it serviced since new, 94000 miles on the clock and eight years old. I asked if it used coolant and he said "Have a look!" The cap was on super tight and despite unscrewing, wouldn't budge. He prised it off with a crow bar, breaking the cap in the process and the coolant level was ..........
..... spot on!
It only had work done at MOT time if absolutely necessary. I had to walk away, after giving him my spare header tank cap but it reinforced my view of the V6. Very strong!
