Were you to venture to the E36 forum I used to frequent when I had my M3s, you'd find discussions on how to compensate for the slight drop it gives to the rear o/s of the car due to the battery's weight.

It's not big, but once you know it's there...

I'm tall, so little old ladies are always getting me to reach things on the supermarket shelves for them
