That said, as long as the one under the ECU is clear then you are reasonably safe the plenum retain water as the chamber is a single area.

It's not the inside of the rubber tubes I'm worried about Dave - it's water running down the
outside of them and causing the metal floor of the lower chamber to rust. You can feel the rust if you poke a finger up into the drain holes from underneath the car and you can see it on the lower sealing rim of the tubes. I started a thread on it here -

So how is the
outside of the rubber tube getting wet in the first place? Is it because the top of the tube doesn't seat in its hole properly, so water runs
under the rubber rim (see below), onto the outside of the tube and then it runs down to the lower chamber floor where it gets trapped, causing rust.
