Default Noisy / tappy V6

Hi all,

Got a problem with my 2.0 v6...

Car has been standing since Monday, went to start it this afternoon & sounded like a very noisy tappet. However it certainly wasn't from the top of the engine (and definitely not manifold rattle - I've dealt with that before). The noise got quieter as the engine temperature started to rise towards operating temp but did not disappear.

I, of course, checked the oil which was at the correct level (car has had a maximum of 6k miles between oil changes all of its life. The oil it's running on now was changed about 1000 miles ago.

The noise is loudest if you crouch down next to the front wheels and is equally loud on either side, but it is audible with the bonnet up too. The noise is in time with engine speed, but happens once for each full revolution of the engine & it does not get louder with revs - anything over 2k and the engine noise almost drowns it out.

Cambelt kit & aux belts were done when it was last serviced.

Here's two videos, one crouching down at the OSF wheel and one under the bonnet.

TL;DR car sounds tappy. Oil and coolant are at the correct levels. It's not overheating. Cambelt kit & auxbelt replaced along with water pump recently. From lower down the engine - definitely not top end.

Any ideas?
