I had that too, but it's so long ago I can't remember how it got sorted
But it would have to have been something simple...
Not all VAG cables work properly. I struggled for ages with one of the black ones, then in desperation got a blue one, and all was fine. So that may have been it. Only other thing I can think is making sure the COM Port in Device Manager matches the one in Toaf
