I have done a bit more work on my player and thought I had fixed it after dusting the laser heads , but after a few minutes it stopped working again and now seems dead !
I have seen the £10 one

I wonder why he has cut the cable ? Doesn't sound promising but as you say for £10 there's not a lot to lose

Other thing I am considering is switching to a later model of 75 radio which has a single CD player .
Oh dear , life is never easy ......
