Replaced rear brake calipers, discs, pads, shoes and hoses with the help of a friend. Both our brains baked in the afternoon sun but very pleased when all done. As for the backplates, they were pretty solid in most places but let's just say I was massively relieved I'd bought brake shoe hold down washers.
