The British motor parts industry spent decades in time and millions in research to achieve an excellent standard of materials. This has, in the main, been given or thrown away to foreign manufacturers with none of the experience or expertise to produce parts of the original quality. The old British Standards (Kite mark) was there for a purpose. Our lives are now in the hands of others. I would hasten to add that not all foreign manufacturers are bad but you tend to get what you pay for!!!
