Default Selby rail crash 20 years ago

Hi all,

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-56085631

I've just been reading this about the Selby train disaster caused by the person who fell asleep at the wheel and went off the motorway and on to the tracks. I know there are people involved with the railway industry and wondering if anyone knows about the measures mentioned in the article. It says that the then deputy PM John Prescott ordered a study of roads that go over railways and the recommendations of the report were enacted. I would like to think that things have been done to prevent this sort of thing from happening again.
It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since it happened. RIP to all the people who died and positive thoughts to everyone involved except the car driver.
