A friend of mine in Switzerland was sent the bill for entering the London LEZ twice last year in his old Land Rover, amounting to £1000 from a debt collection agency employed by TFL . as his number plate was not recognised by the system. Whether it could be enforced we don't know as he successfully appealed.
