PPG was the original supplier of this type of paint, but as Rick will attest, others will closely replicate the finish.

It should be noted that PPG operate some strange "closed" colour codes, PPG 73219 is the code for the red paint used on my tool box, but you cannot get it mixed, and the formulation will not be released.

Thanks for that, Brian. I'll try to get away with just the bonnet and bumpers so I hope they'll be able to mix to a very close match. Chris Demery did a brilliant job polishing it but there's nothing he can do with stone chips. It's currently sitting with its gearbox half-in and half-out after the replacement box failed too. Loads to do on it but it will arise again!
