I removed the rear bumper today in order to re-seal both boot vents.
On the side that was leaking (offside) there was a bit of seam sealer that was close enough to the hole to be putting a dent in the gasket. I suspect that was what had caused the leak.
I trimmed the sealer and then put silicon on the gasket and replaced it. The nearside was not leaking, but sealed it anyway.
Easier job than I thought it would be, but did have the girlfriend help me.
As the sun was shining, removed the egr and gave it a clean. Car is new to me, so was interested to see what it was like. It will be better for it, but not too bad TBH.
