When you speak of the immobiliser, is that a component that one can just pull out of the car without specialist tools or knowledge?

Where does one find it, what does it look like, is it small enough to be sent by post at a reasonable price, etc etc etc ???

I have to admit the notion of ingratiating myself with the lady so that she sells me the car at a knockdown price is tempting.

I can't see her selling it at all in the present circumstances.

So, Marianabrian, is there a procedure that one can propose to the lady? 'Cos frankly, having exchanged a bunch of emails with her, she seems at present to be in a deadend, with the car declining and declining in value at a time when she badly needs money.
