I don't want to rain on your screen mate, but I did the same some years ago - same experience as you, but when I moved back to NI a couple of years ago, it started leaking again.
Tried more Tolley's, but no joy - can't get the bottom left clip to seal any more.
At some stage, I'll have to tackle the proper repair but, as you know, we haven't had a fantastic summer here this year
