That is quite a collection there Arctic, I am surprised at myself not already owning some of these considering i have been restoring classic cars for the last 30 years . I do sometimes weld a big nut over a damaged one but i didnt really want to resort to that on the 75 as it seems a bit too brutal on such a lovely car ! I'll save that for my Ferguson tractors !

How did hammering on an 1/2 socket go? if it failed i would suggest that you use the silverline removal bolt set as they are shallow and you can the get a socket on it with a long handle, or an aviation long ratchet spanner on it to help with leverage.

You can see how the silverline will give you more access in a confined space, but i still rate Irwins the best of the bunch.
