The headlights on my Rover were getting a little foggy and past their prime so I was in a dilemma of either replacing or polishing. Polishing is probably the cheaper option so I went ahead a purchased a reasonably priced polishing kit with the thought that if it doesn't work (or I mess up) I could replace the units.
Opted to remove the bumper and the headlights where it would be simpler to polish them on the bench. While the bumper was off I also replace the intercooler "O" rings purchased from DMGRS and give the front end a jolly good clean. I chose to go for the three "O" ring system, don't really know why but it seemed to be a good idea at the time. The rings fitted originally appeared to be in good condition but, while the bumper is off, why not.
Each light unit took about an hour to do, following the instructions of course, and boy, what a difference. They did, literally, look new. Glad I went for the polishing option.
So, tow bar next!!
