Default Air con pipe

Hi all

My mechanic has advised that the air con is not working due to one of the pipes/hoses being damaged or rubbed through.

I understand this to be the lower pipe on the air con pump and that Runs to the top of the air con radiator.

Does anyone have a pdf exploded diagram or part number for this pipe?

My car is a 2.5v6 petrol.

Is this pipe specific to certain engines?

And is it specific to my facelift car?

I suspect I can’t buy this new. Anyone had experience of fitting secondhand?

All help and advice appreciated?

Hi David,

Your next move should be to book a visit from a mobile air conditioning specialist who will be able to use a low pressure nitrogen test to confirm or otherwise the initial diagnosis. They are also best placed to assist in sourcing parts and you'll need them anyway to evacuate and recharge your system after repairs. Don't be tempted to go to a fast fit outfit.

By the way, one of the air. con pipes is known to make contact with the underbonnet insulation but it's not the one you've described.
