999999 Error
I’ve seen lots of threads on this from about 10 years ago but am wondering if there is any up-to-date info. After disconnecting the battery to resolve an airbag light problem (replacement ECU sorted it) the mileometer now reads 999999. The fix seems to be to swop the eeprom in the IPK with a “virgin” one and then use T4 to “reintroduce” it to the car. The problem I have is there is no T4 in central Scotland and I’m not sure where to source a “virgin” eeprom.
I’ve had some success with TOAF in resolving the airbag issue and this didn’t seem to exist when most of the threads regarding this issue were created. Can TOAF be used to help me out? I’ve read the IPK an it displays a mileage of 1km. Any help much appreciated as the MOT is due soon! |

Toaf can help you out. Send me a mail and I'll forward the instructions.
Al Cramb in Newton Abbot helped me with some virgin chips, very helpful guy, search for him on Messenger (he's got a 75 in his profile picture). Regards |

Thanks for your help so far Mike. I’ve messaged Al but have not received any response. Of course, it’s possible he’s no longer involved with the marque?

You could give Dreadnought garage in Callander a call and see if they can help.

They’re in Callander. Last I heard they no longer have a T4.

Thanks guys, Callandar isn’t the easiest place for me to get to but can T4 fix the problem without eeprom changeover?

I compiled and maintain a map of all "known" T4 locations, link below. Just to repeat what I said before, Dreadnaught no longer has a T4. It packed in July last year, that was confirmed after I emailed the boss, Brian Luti.
