Good to see all went well Jeff. Boy, it's sizzling here & I'm keeping out of it today.

Lousy night's sleep. .

Been out early with Quizzie, my it's hot out there.

Good to hear that folks (groin's) are on the mend, garden's are being tended, boats are back in their natural habitat and electrocution has been avoided.

Keep cool and hydrated everyone.

Dunno how many times I've caught the cable, bleedin' annoying. I've got all the gear to make pukka repairs, solder, heatshrink etc but, obviously it delays the job.

We're having a week in Menorca later on this year, to see if it fits the bill for us. The resort looks fairly flat (doing a Google drive around) and there are walks to the two neighbouring villages and beaches ( I've walked them on Google - also very handy!). The resorts have good, level, roads and pavements, so look more "user friendly" for us older folks! The "Tripadvisor" reviews look good, so we shall see.

Some of the folks at our Corfu hotel this year had been on a week cruise and then a week in the hotel. They all seem to have enjoyed the cruising, for the service, eating and drinking, along with the daily visits to coastal resorts (then travelling overnight to the next one).

No chance at all Phil, I've been bored for last 3 years, there's no way I could stay off and not work.
It's about 10 years before I get to retirement age.😁

I thought I was going to keep out of the sun today, but when I went to get the wheelie bin in I noticed one of our trees had grown over the fence & the branches were inches from scraping next door neighbour's car bonnet .

So I got an old hoodie on & pushed my way through the trees to lop these branches, there were a lot more than I thought & it took me ages, Talk about dripping with sweat, at least there was a nice north-westerly breeze blowing I filled the green wheelie bin & still had a wheelbarrow full too.

The roses are out in bloom & smell bootiful Was it Norman Vaughan or Dicky Henderson who had the catchphrase 'Swingin' Dodgy Roses grow on you.

Them were the days eh! Billy Cotton's circus, Pinky & Perky, Mr Pastry, Old mother Riley, Four feather falls, Fireball XL5, Jimmy Clitheroe & Jimmy Edwards, Bootsie & Snudge & Peggy Mount with her booming voice on every TV show going I've had a few cold apple juices & a cold shower & all's r'reet with the world again..

Salad for tea tonight, Too hot to cook in the kitchen.

Two panels painted today (this afternoon). This paint (?) just sinks in and goes nowhere, then the colour disappears, so more coats tomorrow I suspect. Everything aches again, so I must be usin' me muscles!

I wish that you could still get "proper" creosote! It was 'er indoors idea to "paint"! (She didn't like the tarry smell!). Too much watching garden makeovers on the telly! I'd love to see some of those "rush jobs" after a couple of years!
