Morning Jeff, You've not been hanging about there, Lady Emma is looking proper tidy now.
On the home straight now Ian.
Glad of a break today though. Four hours of painting the underneath of the boat has taken its toll

Admit it, you were too cheap to buy a brush and used your beard instead.

Working in a soup kitchen . . . . well, cooking a cauldron of soup for Ging. Having a break while it simmers for a while before chucking some Chinese leaf in then let it cool a bit and blitz it with the stick blender. Once its fully cooled divi it up into containers and into the freezer.

I got the lawns mowed & pulled some shallots that had fallen over.

They're not going to grow any more, A bit small this year but taste bootiful, I've been snacking on the tiddlers & they're good. I've hung them in a steel mesh which is a bit too big, but I'll put em in the shed to cure & harden.
They'll be going into soups & casseroles whole over Autumn.

I once asked an old "salt" that was tapping bits of tarred rope into the gaps on an upturned wooden boat hull, if it would leak if he missed any.

"Not till it goes into't watta" he replied!
