I managed to sleep till 4.30 am! Second sleep till 7.30, after a cuppa and some paracetomol following my fence painting (I now do 2 panels, every other day but am tempted to have another crack today!).

The "Ronseal 5 year fence paint isn't doing what is says on the tin" as it never covered well, the first, or second time that I did it! Two years and again 1 year ago. One upside is that there's 45% off the price now which means that it gets the extra coats that it needs! My labour is free!

I have to use those padded knee thingies now, to do the low bits but found some angled brushes in Lidl which work a treat.

Stay cool and hydrated folks and have a good 'un.
Edit! Scotland can't blame Boris for leaving The Euro this time!

Morning all from a soggy Somerset, hopefully the mist will clear to bring a nice day.

Hopefully you have nice weather for painting the fence, sorry to hear about the knee pads, not very pleasant for you having to get down on your knees.

I don’t know what to say about Scotland/Boris/Euro.

I do remember during the vote for Brexit, the moderators came down hard on any political discussions. At the time, the forum was pro brexit and Nigel Farage had a big fan club on the forum.

How the world has changed since then.

This morning I saw the surgeon about the “leg over the barbed fence incident” and he gave me the all clear, a pulled muscle so he has prescribed anti-inflammatories and anti spasm tablets for the groin. Nothing serious which is the main thing. Now we can make a plan

Good morning Steve

Will you need to wear protective clothes and thorn proof gloves?
