Martin, sorry this is the best I can do.
You can check the continuity of the wires from the horn to this plug/socket. As suggested by others, sometimes due to flexing of the old wiring by removing the bumper, these can get broken. Good luck Fred (planenut) |

I just happen to have my steering column cowl apart at the moment, as I’m diagnosing a possible rotary coupler fault on my cruise control.
If you disconnect the 6-way plug from the coupler and link the black wire on the left (ground) to the purple wire on the right (horn), the horn should sound. That will tell you if it is the rotary coupler or not. |

My plug is further back, under the washer bottle, I had to pull out the side of the front bumper to get at it, I have been able to check the wiring from the connector to the horn, and that's ok, so the fault is between the plug and relay / fuse, but I have not been able to find the time to do any more just yet, Sometime I have got to have the front off again to fit new bonnet cables, and identify where my washer bottle is losing fluid from, I will see if the cable has gotten trapped behind the water bottle whilst i have the washer bottle off.
