Finished machine polishing my ZT-T today in preparation for The Vancouver All British Field Meet this coming weekend. 5-600 cars are expected.
Tomorrow i will be detailing the interior and cleaning windows. Engine compartment detailing is set for Friday. Hoping for dry weather for the show on Saturday.

Finished a three day 400 mile round trip Stockport to Fareham today and was pleased to achieve an overall 34mpg in the ZTT KV6 2.5. Even better, on the way down which was practically all motorway, it held 37.6mpg for the last hour. I just had the cruise control set to 69 most of the way.

If I hadn't had the aircon on, I think I might have hit 38mpg!

We got half of the weather we wanted on the day. It poured with rain until about 10:00 on the day of the show, then the sun and chamois came out. It turned into a glorious day. There were 520 cars entered, apparently the rain scared away some of the "Never driven in the rain" guys.
I did pretty good trophy-wise coming in second in my class, "Modern MGs". The winner was a very nice red MG R-V8. With a people's choice show it's always hard to compete against a red car.

The day following the show there was a run up the Fraser Valley to Harrison Hot Springs culminating in a Bar B-Q and prize giving.
The Lotus Club organised the run and planned the route and managed to find some very twisty roads to play on. The typically 95km drive was stretched to 115km and it was run very quickly. The ZT-T190 did a very good job keeping up to the Elises and Esprits. It was a lot of fun. (And probably a good thing that my wife decided to stay home)

The picture shows a consolidation stop at the half way point to get the pack back together. (22 Lotus and 25 other makes)

Seems you had a relatively nice day, and also a happy one with winning second place. It is nice to get some recognition for your hard work now and again.

Fixed the hinges on the glove box. Took the box out to get to the sun roof drains (that were draing the water into the passenger side) (thanks for tips artic) and found one hinge pin laying in the space; the other was 1/2 out. Now both back in (?for how long???)

Got my intercooler Viton O rings fitted (thanks DMGRS), was pleased to get it done in 10 mins without removing the bumper. Just moved the coolant tank to one side. Small hands sometimes work out well Wiped off the gunk, bit of silicone grease on the rings and popped back on nicely. Much needed, as the hose was disgusting, the old rings clearly not doing their job anymore! Thank you for the guides, this forum is great for 75 newbies.

Just returned from having a stainless back box fitted to my diesel by MIJ Exhaust’s in Walsall. Had twin tail outlet pipes fitted. Sounds sporty on tickover, a little sporty on initial acceleration but calms down when cruising. Will have to see on a run what real effect it has had. I had one fitted to the 2.5 about three years ago. Only run it for around one year and it was ok . The 2.5 will be back on the road next month after a little bit of fettling of the brakes.
