Just been out and taken some photos with the new camera, and very pleased i am too. Just need to work out how to crop them as they seem to be huge!

Such is the drawbacks of DSLR files
I use Photoshop to resize my pictures for posting, both to scale them down and reduce actual file size, to do that in photoshop you choose "Image size" from the image menu, and then "save for web" in the file menu, choosing .jpeg and "small or medium" file sizes. If you don't have photoshop, check the menus in whatever software you have for something similar. There is a little tutorial here: http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/dig...reducesize.htm

At 10.5meg per photo on my DSLR, you need to resize for Web or everyone gets tired waiting for them to appear.
The Forums don't like large sized files either. |

Having just acquired the same camera along with a selection of lenses, I have to agree.
What a beautiful camera for the price |

I must admit that i have only used mine in 'auto' mode so far - going to have a play at the weekend in manual mode. Cracking bit of kit! still impressed with it

Can let you borrow if you want. I've just been playing with the EF 100mm macro lens in the garden. I'm quite literally stunned at the close-up detail considering it was hand-held and I haven't really done any macro before. |

This one is an instructional DVD with a professional photographer taking you through all of the controls on the camera stage by stage including convenient places to pause while you try out what you've just been shown. It's by a company called Blue Crane. |

Let's see the pics. I am interested to see what you can do with a macro lens.
