Budding Engineers
For all those with young children and who want to be enthused with Science - I would like to recommend the IET's (Institution of Engineering and Technology - formerly the IEE) Faraday Lectures for 2008.
The theme this year is Healthcare Technology a theme after my own heart (I've also had a lot of input into one of the sub-themes on brain-waves) let your children have a play and even better get them to get their school involved All the videos etc to be seen here: http://faraday.theiet.org/ "Brainwaves" in particular here: http://faraday.theiet.org/brainwaves/index.cfm

The 17 odd minute Brain waves Presentation was very Interesting as an Old Child.
I'm still discovering the Power of the Brain since having had Brain Cancer over 5 Years ago, how other parts of Brain take over from damaged areas, with some help and training from Specialists, and how I can get blank moments like when using a search engine looking for something. Much more to find out still of course as to why I can sometimes become repetitive when I don't know I've already said something? |

John, I have very similar issues with repeating myself and blanking when I'm looking for something or losing my thread in mid speak.
You know what my excuse is though. And 40 years of it. Very informative film Christopher, must be marvellous to be able to work in developing such things. Very satisfying. |
