Autoclassica 2009 cancelled!
Readers who may have been planning to visit Culzean Castle for the Autoclassica event on August 29 / 30 should note that this event has now been cancelled by the organisers.
It would appear that the event organisers have found it impossible to work with the venue owners (National Trust for Scotland) and have pulled the plug as a result of the resultant frustrations. More details on the Autoclassica web site at http://www.culzeanautoclassica.com/5.html |

This is a real shame, I visited last year and it was a terrific event and given the number of attendees seemed to be very well supported.
Very disappointed to hear that it will not go ahead this year. Hope the problems can be resolved and the event can go ahead next year - we NEED events such as this north of the border. |

It's a real pain!. But to be fair Autoclassica had said right at the beginning of the year that it would be unlikely to go ahead this year as you stated.
Your right as well that we need things like this north of the border, and last years event was great. Don't know what the problems are but looked to me in 2008 that this show could really take off into something great, could have been a great "Scottish Meet" venue with the overnight camping/Own area......but now looks like that's all dashed, mores the pity. |
