Default New body?

Providing the mini cooper resto doesn't go massively over budget (looks like it might) I fancy upgrading my Canon 400D. I have a possible buyer for the 400D which seems a good enough reason to upgrade. Looking at either a new 50D or possibly a second hand 5D (not the mk2 obviously)
Opinions greatly received

I know someone who's selling them - they've hardly been used (inc boxes, cases, everything). I'll find out the prices if you're interested.

CAn you find the prices anyhow as they'd look great on my 350d

Oooh.

I borrowed a 5D. BIG mistake - Now I want one - can't afford one though

Oh well, I'll stick with the 400D for now.

I can thoroughly recommend the 5D if that's the way you're going

I think the 1D Mk11 would be out of my price range. i have borrowed a Canon 24-70 f2.8 and it is an awesome lens (maybe interested in the price of that) I have the 70-200 f4 L. I looked at the 5d but apparently no good for motorsport?

being full frame it is appartently excellent for wildlife and landscape.7D is far to expensive! the upgrade will only happen if my 400d sells next weekend (if not I will treat myself to a new lens ) My biggest restriction is the resto work on the mini which has to come first. Why do I have two expensive hobbies !
