Default rover detachable towing bracket fitting

Ive now picked up a genuine Rover detachable bracket and twin electrics kit, off good old ebay, and will be fitting them shortly ( probably over easter- its a good excuse to keep off the roads !!).

Given the appaling instruction leaflets, has anyone got any fitting tips/ do's and dont's, so I dont make any mistakes ??

Ill try and take pics and do a HOW TO.

The pictures make it look worse than it is. Use them as a guide to what goes where, and how to get things like the bumber off. Once you are going it is far easier than the pics make you think.

Similarly for the genuine wiring kit - the pics frighten but if you take your time all comes clear when you can see the real things the pics are trying to show you.

Good Luck

I installed the original Rover Detachable using the original instructions and found the only difficulty to be getting the cables from the rear to the fusebox under the Glovebox.
If you go by the instructions, and are careful not to break anything by using exessive force, you should be OK. Took me the better part of a day.
