which brake pads
Hi all,
my brakes have started squealing so think it's possibly time for some new pads, I'm a bit unsure which ones fit mine as ecp have 2 listed for the front http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/MG...9f45572&000036 or http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/MG...28c3bc6&000036 my car is the 190 v6 |

It's always the more expensive for the 190.
I put black diamond predator pads mine last year and they are well worth the extra £20 |

I've had pagid discs and pads of my old golf and were a massive improvement over standard brakes hence why I'm looking at pagid again.
thanks for the info though, might have a quick look at those black diamonds |

Black diamond is well worth a look. They're a bit more expensive but really good stuff.

Texstar Pads
Funnily for my 75 tourer they list Texstar E Pads for the rear but not the fronts.
Have asked why but no reply.

Textar, Pagid and Mintex are all the same company TMD. You should be able to order what you want Product is 2311203 for Fronts if you look up the Textar online catalogue. Same Number is listed for bother petrol Tourers.

I have just bought for stock, a front set of pads direct from Unipart (the original parts supplier to MGR until Caterpiller/X-part took over the contract), for £29.08p, including Free carriage/next day delivery. Unipart was developed in the late 1960s, by BL to compete with 'factored' parts and having worked with several franchise outlets, I have excellent faith in their OE quality products.
Obviously, if you want fancy/sporty brakes, then you would need to go to the respective specialist. Roverite. |
