Drivers door lock
So the drivers door lock is sluggish when opening sometimes requiring two stabs on the remote. It is worse in the cold weather, I know we don't get much of that here in the North East but I feel it's getting worse.
So my question is. Is this repairable ie strip and give a squirt with some magical lubricating fluid or is it a replacement job? If the latter where do I get the bits. Cheers Blackrose |

I had the same problem until the door lock seized and the door remained jammed.
I replaced the door lock with one from a similar car and now works great. Take care with this door locks, when they go bad, you cannot do anything to them because they are electric operated. |

A couple of things:
1. Make sure the door card hasn't come unclipped at the back end by the button/pushrod Or 2. Find a good used door actuator so you can just replace it. They can be stripped down & repaired but for speed, It's better to just get a replacement. |
