Boeing 737 Max production suspended
Ouch!
From what was such a fine company with a superb past reputation- “If it isn’t Boeing, I’m not going” - a truly awful modern day example of how not to do things. Great shame. |

The 737 prior to the MAX is also being checked for "Pickle Fork" cracks too! I was on one in October!

Noted that the FAA had notice of the faults - that's going to be a lot of money to those with a lot of heartache!

Its going to need a lot of ''fixing'' to get customer confidence back. I know if I was flying anywhere in the near future and I was told that was my mode of transport I would be very worried.
Apparently the airlines are pushing to get them as they have costed in the savings these aircraft are supposed to bring them. |

Personally, no. The US and Boeing can keep it. The pair of them are well over due a drag to the court of decency.

The 737-800 certainly won't crash because of MCAS, it doesn't have it. However any system can malfunction and a successful outcome can depend on how the crew respond to it, easy to say with hindsight I know but some do argue that the events which grounded the 737 MAX are a case in point. The quality of a company and its crew are paramount to safe flying though personally I do think that Boeing and the relevant authorities dropped the ball re MCAS.

Nothing new here, simply yet another example of the continuing and inevitable decline of American manufacturing.
