Default HELP clutch almost failed v hard gear selection

Is there a garage near Leominster that knows MGR and could fix my clutch master cylinder?

Drove down from N York's to brother in law near Leominster. Just past Ashby de la Zouch gear selection became v difficult. Of course, 4-5 much easier.

No apparent fluid loss. EDIT - wrong, after food and recuperating, closer inspection shows fluid running down the clutch pedal and alson on the footrest next to it. What to do now? Pedal v low but all gears select when engine off. Complete new clutch, master and slave less than 15k ago. I've previously got as much as 70k from a clutch.

Is there any garage near Leominster that's would know their way round a ZTT cdti facelift?

Planned to go home Sunday!

As an interim measure, you could try reverse bleeding it, from the slave to the master.

The nearest I can think of is an ex-member of this club who always gets rave reviews. His name is Terry Shaw of TS Autos who used to be in Stourbridge. For contact details see this thread.

I hope you get it sorted.

SD1too, thanks. I called TS Autos and he was very polite and helpful but too very busy to get to me before it was too late for me.

Got the car rescued to usual garage and us to home.

Ducati750cc, Cheers, the garage did that when the new master was fitted so sure they'll try it. My current health doesn't sit well with doing it myself.

Cheers

Trikey,

Cheers. I was really struggling to get it to my brother in law at Leominster.

Ironically, I worked in Durham for nearly twelve years but would getting the MG there would be a step to far but in the bank for future reference. TBH I'm finding my usual garage to have dropped off a bit. Their too busy all the time as difficulty recruiting staff, the owner really wants to quit and the work isn't what it used to be - hope he's not reading this!

Really missing the "Thanks" button.
