Default Thank you Stocktake. VIS motors difference

My 2 lire V6 will never be as quick as my 2.5 and 1.8 turbo but the difference I found today was tangible and surprising.
Both VIS motors were dead so they were removed and and handed to Stocktake. About 40 minutes later I’m putting them back in freshly repaired.
The journey up was its usual wafty experience of a lazy V6. On the way back it had some guts at last. First 70 miles I achieved 33.1 mpg as usual on a motorway journey. Set the IPK to zero again and and went home. This time 39.2 mpg for exactly the same route.
Had reason to do some overtaking near to home and thankfully it had enough grunt to make the task easy and safer.
Another good day at the midlands nano. Fixed all 4 loose door cards. Fixed the rear courtesy light which had dropped. Super chip fitted my real wood dash and we got the rear bumper off and fitted the tow bar. About 3 hours work between us in a pleasant warm environment rather than having spanners frozen to your hand in winter.
Highly recommend to anyone thinking about attending the midlands nano meeting. Big thank you to Stocktake for his knowledge.

You could make a weekend of it like a lot more do. Plenty of b+b, guest houses and hotels, or bring you caravan or tent. You would be made more than welcome.
