Holden name to go as well.
GM stopped making cars in Australia under the Holden name some years ago. Holden became a name on re-badged imports.
Now GM is going to stop this as well. GM is selling its manufacturing plant in Thailand to Chinas Great Wall Motors. “May you live in Interesting times” - (Old Chinese saying) |

GM is also selling their India plant in Talegaon to Great wall Motors too and has already sold their Lordstown plant in Ohio to 'Lordstown Motors' who are bringing out a BEV pickup truck in 2021. I think there will be multiple casualties in the next five years. The Chinese are going to eat these guys up for supper, Beijing Benz has quite the ring to it

Holden
Very sad news, my sister has my old 1975 Holden Pickup branded in SA as a Chevrolet El Camino. She has to obtain all parts from Aus and is getting more and more difficult to keep on the road, I also sold my 1972 Holden/Chev SS and regretted it ever since, drove it all over SA and was a stunning car.
