Default Hi-Line to Double Din

Hi all, can anybody give me any advice about the problems changing from a hi-lins system to a double din unit from Sean, i will attempt this but being a complete luddite with 2 left hands i can see many problems on their way, thanks Ron

Only problem as such, is getting the radio aerial from the boot to the head unit.
The rest is plug in unless yours is an early car that needs the BMW connector adaptor.

So you are saying the new unit re-uses the original radio antenna?

Not necessarily, but you have to give it an aerial somehow.

Well my original aerial isn't the best. I still get AM whistling Dixie and FM is fuzzy and clips. Sounds fine with CD's and DVD's and music off the SD card though.

And no joy at all with the DVB-T box. But other than that they are great.
