Default Poor radio reception on AM

As a Tourer owner the poor quality of AM of was bugging me.

As my favorite Radio Station is Talk Sport (AM)

The reception was poor

I found (eventually) a easy cure, the offside window has in my car(subject to project drive) had only one connection

only one connection!

Cleaned it with with wire wool

I have the exact problem with the same station! Do you have to dismantle anything to get to the connection?

On Saloons the Aerial are the rear screen demisters
so check all connections are working properly.
I cannot find Reebs posts at present but believe its the top two "elements" for aerial.

I've bought PURE Highway DAB receiver/FM transmitter for my car, so radio 5 live, sports extra, TalkSport etc are all available, but it's still a bit susceptible to built-up areas, so I'm still sorting the aerial.
