iPhone or camera

Hi I have had a Panasonic tz3 since new but have just got an iPhone 8plus and wondered just for snaps and the odd scenic pic if it was good enough to ditch the tz3 as the camera usually just sits in the car ?

From the usage you describe i would say a good camera phone is absolutely fine
