Weighing up my options.
Hi, I知 78 in a couple of months and I have been offered my first Covid jab at a big football stadium in the north east of the city.
However, I知 reluctant to take the offer up as I壇 be queuing with a large assortment of folks from other areas of the city with higher Covid infection rates than my own local area south of the city. Looks like I will have to wait a little longer for my local surgery to contact me, but I will still be in my comfort zone! Has any old codger like me considered this option? Kev. |

I知 a youngster compared to you, just turned 71. But I値l be getting the jab as soon as it is possible. If taking the right precautions then you should have nothing to fear. But the decision is yours.

All the reports I've heard have been that the vaccination organisation has been excellent at our local centres. Though we haven't got one of the big centres in our area so I can't speak about them.

At 65 I'm a bit younger (although I must confess there are days when I feel older). Based on age alone I should be in priority group 5, and when I am offered the vaccine I won't need to be asked twice. I may be fotunate enough to be called fairly early in the group as I have an underlying health condition - heart disease - but I won't be counting on it. I came across an online calculator that estimates a vaccination date when you enter your details and for me it came out as around mid February, but that's not a guarantee. Here's a link if anyone wishes to enter their own details:
