Default A special Thanks to Jules, thanks again mate. :)

Evening all how is everyone, well I went to see Jules today for a T4 session and find out what's been going on under the bonnet and other checks as well such as the ABS systems as well.

It was a good drive on the way there, I haven't been in the area for a few years now, but Jules's guide came in really handy as the sat nav wanted to take me cross country. Could have been a Group B really stage where it wanted to take me.

I got there and met Jules himself and the cars too, got to hand it to you your passion for these motors is superb can't fault that at all.

Jules worked his Magic and got the T4 system hooked up and we ready to find some codes and checks, and also a Live data run with Jules on the helm, its been a while since I was passenger of a Rover 75, it was actually quite good.

he told me all the information and explained what's been going on, MAS sensor is within spec which is good, Fuel injectors need replacing one and two and are out while 3 and 4 are working pretty well and within normal parameters, I'll change the injectors as soon as possible.

On the way back to his workshop, something happened on the way, you wouldn't believe it, it had happen there, but then again I'm glad It did, if I was on the motorway I would have been cream cracked, the alternator belt had snapped, just as we few meters on the drive to his workshop.

Talk about bad luck, at the same time good luck as well has I had the best person to break down on, Sorry Jules, maybe Christine had a mood swing after seeing the other Rover 75's and MG ZT's, jealousy kicked in. or4 she simply wanted you to do more work on her lol, must be a Guru thing lol.

Well after looking at the snapped belt, we both decided you get it sorted, I didn't want to chance driving it home incase it conked with not getting the battery charged at all, That was replaced and he also checked out my ABS sensor on the driver side, after all that it was perfect again, speedo works and belt was on as well.

I like to say a Big Thank you to Jules and his input on the car, I've learned quite a bit today and more too.

Next time I pass I'll buy you a drink a nice pint of Fosters or VAT 69, Love it.

That's true and if that happened on the motorway, would have been dead in water.

Tell me about it when Jules said about the noise it twigged as it started this morning, in other words that Noise I was hearing was belt going towards Total destruction.

Fine god it snapped there and no where else.

Sounds like you had a productive day Dave, at least you know what to sort now. Lucky with the belt too!
I used to live near Stockport a few years ago so, only an hour and a bit from your neck of the woods. I wish I still did as Jules would have been quite handy for me and I could have called on you for a cuppa

I know what needs to be done now which is a good thing.
Plus saves me money without having to guess everything now.

Wish I did this in the first place.
Jobs too do now is.
Replace fuel injectors.
replace wheel bearing on the driver side rear and that's it.

It takes me about 30 mins to get to Colwyn bay, depending on road works as there's always seem to be Road works on that stretch of road, there starting from Bangor to Llandudno now.

Flagging down a lady and asking her for a stocking is likely to get your collar felt nowadays

I'm assuming it's a polyvee rather than a single vee pulley so that ain't going to work. Asking could lead to fun in other ways I suppose

Tights come in many forms these days (so I am told) and vertically ribbed ones may work.

Any member thinking of trying, make sure the lady you ask is tall and leggy. The polyvee belts tend to be rather long these days with all the ancillaries to drive.
