Default Advice please

I have bought something expensive and need to pay for it hopefully saturday, I am paying for it with cash but will obviously need to withdraw it over the counter in the bank. I haven't done this for years and cannot remember the correct way. Will I have to ring up in advance for £1300 or will that be no problem? How do I withdraw it just by filling in a cheque payable to "cash?" Will I need any photo ID either? My ID is en route to the DVLA.

Do you have a debit card on that account. If so just present it at the bank and demand money.
You can make a cheque out to cash, you will need some identification, passport possibly or photo driving licence.

No your debit card is you. Besides 1300 Sovs isn't a lot of money these days, just the price of a few gallons of petrol.

Dependent on Your Bank, some do now ask for Advance warning of Large (over £700) withdrawals.
Crazy, Its your Money and they are meant to be a Bank.
Abbey also ask for additional ID.
My Bank also asks For Full Name, Address, Phone Number, DOB and Employer and other Random things which you would only Know if it is your Account!

Not sure these days but you do have a PIN. don't disclose it though. They are more likely to ask for further identification like name and address, DOB etc.
Do you have a utilities bill in your name, gas or elctricity, they quite like those as proof of identity.

This has been a bone of contention with me since Chip n Pin came in.
Crazy......... if I go to my bank or any bank for that matter, they don't ask you for your pin even to draw 1000's out.!!!!!!!

But if you want to buy a stamp at the post office using your debit card, your pin will be required. How crazy is that?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
