Nokia 5800 problem

I have a nokia 5800 express music.

has worked fine for the last 2 years but all of a sudden when i try make a call or answer a call, it turns itself off

It has not been dropped and has not got wet.
Done a factory reset and also done a hard reset and still the same.

any phone tech guys out there???

Hi John, I have the same phone. Mine doesnt switch off but the microphone stopped working. I had it repaired but it stopped working again. have you ever had this problem?

No Mate not had that problem

From what i have read, there are alot of issues with updates for the phone and it is making them do strange things. I have tried updating mine but it says that its updated when i know its not.

The first time I had the microphone fixed they returned the phone back to me with lots of little upgrades like a new screen. They had also updated the firmware. Maybe its worth taking it to the shop. It took around a weeks time to be sent away and returned and it was free under the nokia warranty.
