ZTT 260 in Starlight silver
Recently been looking about for a 260 to replace my CDTI , are got some contact details for a Guy localish with a ZTT with about 56k on the clock.
got this from the MG garage where its always been serviced, and been told hes looking to sell it . where its gone yet dunno? its also got an LPG setup too. can anyone give me clue to an approx value for one in good nick . not sure if its a MK1 either yet as ( I don't like the mk2's front end ) its a pity is a ZTT as I really would like a ZT thanks

I dont do values, but MK1 or 2 and spec list would help the other guys value it.

A 53 plate 260 ZT-T sold about ten days ago on ebay for £5305, 22k on the clock and a very early car. A very similar car is for sale in Aylesbury at £8995, albeit with a V8 private plate. Some people like the LPG conversion, whilst it puts others off. Worth a look around the 260s Forum. Regards, Tony. |

Got an address, in wiltshire , but no tel number, Seems its was first registered as a Demonstrator then sold at 665 miles , so its now probably 2 owners.
Glass give a approx price of 6K and CAPwin gives a trade of about 3.5k to 3.7k so quite a gap( profit) margin there !! need to be a Hercules Parrot to find this out !! C.

The ZT-T 260 fetches a premium over the saloons as there are fewer of them. Depending on how tidy the car is £7-8k private, dealers are looking for typically £1500 on top of that
LPG is a boon but the installation under the bonnet looks hideous well all I have seen so far do anyway, and you loose the boot space which in the saloon is bad enough but in the estate I kind of think it defeats the benefit of the estate. is it a MK1 or Mk2 SE or non SE? you may not like the MK2 front end but I can assure you the blue dials of the clocks more than make up for it 56k may be getting near what are the rear disks like territory (£350 each retail) so I suggest you find a local 260 owner to go with you to inspect the car. also go on the two sixties forum and try and find out who the car belonged to often you can get chapter and verse from the previous owner. I don't have LPG in the one I am buying I have this thing bolted on instead |
