Did a double take yesterday! !!!!!
Cruising along the A45 on Saturday coming out of Northampton when I'm overtaken by my dream car!!!!!!!!
A DMC DE-LOREAN Surprisingly it was no Minter as you would expect these rare and expensive cars to be cossetted and treated better then the wife. The bare metal body needed a Damn good polish (to me it looked like a looked after daily driver type condition). Noted the reg, and checked its history and since 1983 its done 2,300 miles. It was a left hooker so that maybe since it was Imported though. It still looked darned sexy though |

Weren’t they all left hookers? And a sort of brushed alloy finish (which must be a real pain to maintain)?

My great grandfather worked on the Titanic. As far as I know, my family is not responsible for the demise of all good things, just those two.

I was lucky enough to drive one a few years ago but I was very disappointed. Not that fast bit was also very claustrophobic.
You could tell it was designed for the US market, quite softly sprung and not the best build quality. At the time I could have bought it for £13k, I wish I had bought it now, better than any savings account I know of. |
