Default Mysterious blower fault

My heater blower works on all speed settings and works for both hot and cold, however the air will only come out of the vents in the footwell and windscreen. It will come out of the same vents for all settings, whether it's set to footwell only, face only, windscreen only. It's really annoying having the blower constantly on my feet. I was a setting that I never used.
Any ideas what the fault is would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi there it sounds like the distribution flap has malfunctioned.
If you have the digital Automatic Temperature Control then you can perform a manual diagnostic check of the system by pressing and holding the AUTO switch and the air distribution switch, then turning the ignition switch from 0 to II. The audible warning and all the indications on the control panel display cycle on and off whilst the ATC ECU runs the diagnostic check. When complete, all the indications in the display are replaced by FC in the left-hand temperature window and two digit fault codes in the the right-hand window which cycle in numerical order. An audible warning sounds as each fault code is shown. The check is cancelled by pressing the OFF switch or turning the ignition switch to 0. If there are no faults, the system shows 00. In low light conditions the sunlight sensor (top centre of dash) should be illuminated with a strong light source otherwise that will show up as non functioning.

Hope this helps.

Regards. Steve.

Thanks Steve, unfortunately it's not the digital temp control. It's just the basic manual temp control.
