Recession? Cobblers . . .

. . . are included in a list of Recession Proof businesses as more people are likely to have their old shoes resoled or reheeled than buy a new pair when money is tight.

Unfortunately the shoe companies are finding ways to kill off the remainder, I wear Campers for everyday use. They're comfortable, good leather and well made, but there is no provision for changing the soles - the shoes themselves would outlast a few soles.

Campers are fab shoes. I seem to find them brand new in charity shops - latest pair yesterday for £3.97 in Oxfam. They must be shoes that people love then decide they hate.
